That Mysterious Super Hero

I have to admit, I’m really proud of this guy, because everything I wanted to do but thought I couldn’t, I did. Especially the stomach armor that looks like muscle. 😀 Every superhero’s gotta have it, real or fake!

Unamed Superhero 1 the flying squirrel flying mode Now, I’ve done the two pictures here for several reasons. You’ll notice that the uncolored picture is different (duh :D) but different in the way that I mean the character’s armor is not popped out. That will be flying mode. I also put the uncolored version there to illustrate how shading and color really make a difference in how the drawing looks.

So, this guy is gonna be a super hero, he has a secret identity, but you don’t know who it is. And I might change it without notice, because I tend to do that. The silk looking stuff is his wings, have you ever seen the videos of the crazy guy in the flying squirrel suit who jumps off mountains and flies at 300 mph? Well, this character was loosely based off that guy. I say loosely because that guy is crazy and this guy isn’t. 🙂 Technically, the wings shouldn’t be out in fighting mode (colored pic) but I wanted to see if they were a good fit, and they are. That triangle button activates flying mode, and the rest of the buttons… you’ll have to wait and see what they do. (I actually don’t know what they do but when I decide you won’t know about it!) The pads on his fingers are antigravity pads, I guess I need a button for that, don’t I…

I looked at old comics of the other super heroes to kind of get a feel of what I wanted to do. I wanted more futuristic, like Iron Man, but not so much of that gear, because it makes the hero feel bulky, but no gear makes him feel like old time Super Man, which isn’t bad, but as I said, futuristic. I had him way fatter than that, originally, and I was wondering why he looked so weird, and then I took off some of the fat and added muscle armor, and then it looked awesome. Despite it’s being armor, if it looks like muscle, then the overall feel of the character is more slick and less bulky. Black and green colors also help this effect.

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

    1. Oh, yeah, was that the SeaHawks game? Everyone at my church loves the Seahawks, and they were all telling me about how the “Seahawks crushed the Bears” and I’m like, yay, I’m happy for you.

      1. No, the Patriots won. The Super Bowl is the only game we watch, unless the Oregon Ducks are in some big game like the Rose Bowl. My Dad likes to watch those and eat junk food. 🙂
Sweet so the Texans won, what was the score? I heard that the score for the Seahawks vs. the Bears was 36-0.

  1. I would reply faster if I was notified when you replied, but the notifications for this site are weird, and don’t really work right. That’s why I wanted to start emailing. But I have been a bit busy today so I haven’t been checking as much as usual. That, and you where gone for a while, so I have to it back in my rhythm.

    1. 🙂 Yeah I get that.
I’m sick today, I wonder if I’ll have to stay home from church or youth group. Probably not church, I think I can go anyway, but I hope Mom and Dad don’t make me stay home from youth group… a couple of friends and I were talking about getting our small group together and doing the corn maze at a local (ish) farm.

  2. We usually go down to Florida where our grandparents live. But my dad also has classes he has to take for work up in North Carolina too, his job pays for most of the expenses.

  3. Your doing algebra one? I’m actually still catching up on that but I’m almost done, along with being almost done with geometry, and I started algebra 2 this year. I’m having to catch up from being behind, because we do math online at khan academy, but our computer broke and it took a while to get money to buy new ones. Eventually we got 2 laptops, one of them broke last week. My baby brother ripped it off the bar by the charger. It’s a good thing I can do pretty much everything on my phone. I haven’t touched the one that works in months.

      1. Such as VACATION! Wooo!!!
Do you guys have that special vacation place that you go to all the time? We have 2: Newport and the California Redwoods at a KOA, I can’t remember what city it’s outside of.

  4. Hey your back! Sorry it’s taken me so long to talk to you I’ve been busy. In fact, today I went with my grandpa to the DPS (or is it the DMV?) to get my permit, but there was one form my mom needed to sign but she wasn’t there, so I’m going to go again and get it soon. My brother and sister both went also, but to get their license. My brother also needed a form, and my sister just barely failed the test (she made a minor mistake about which lane she was supposed to be in one a confusing left turn into a neighborhood.) Anyways, after that we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant, and got some REALLY good fajitas! And then we had Papa Johns for dinner! Also I did end up getting Mario maker, and a cool free poster! The game is amazing! Nearly 10/10, about 9.5/10! But enough about me, how was your vacation?

    1. My vacation was great, we went and saw Vikingsholm and the Ehrman Mansion, so that was pretty cool, went hiking and got scared by some large thing that jumped out of the bushes behind us… we didn’t go hiking by ourselves after that, lol there’s bears in Nevada. We got stuffed on Grandma’s eggs, helped run the inn a little bit, watched football (That’s all Grandpa likes to do) and watched him freak out when he couldn’t log on to Fantasy Football (the only other thing he likes to do) and we drove for ten hours straight to get back, so I got to play LOTS of Smash Bros. and eat LOTS of Goldfish!! Hooray! That day was so productive! 😀
So, you’re going to start learning to drive? That’s so cool. As soon as I can, I want to start learning.

      1. Wow! Sounds like a nice trip! Well I am 16, so I should have gotten my permit last year, and be getting my license, but we didn’t have time to go. Yea driving is fun so you should learn as soon as possible, what’s the age limits where you live? In Texas it’s 15 for a permit, and 16 for license.

    1. Well, I’ve pretty much grown up vacationing in one particular area. It really doesn’t have a name, but the stuff to do is cool. There’s a natural hot spring up in the mountains, and some people turned it into a giant hot tub. Grover’s hot springs. And then every birthday I’ve had in Nevada (three or four) was spent at the Grand Sierra resort and casino. Believe it or not, it’s a great place, you walk through this GIGANTO casino and to a different floor. The ENTIRE floor is an arcade! And then you can go eat at one of the really expensive restaurants at the casino.
You can also go hiking up by Grover’s or go drive someplace and hike. Or go explore Reno. Reno is big-not nearly as big as your city- but it’s big. Another thing to do is go to the Cabela’s and hang out at Boomtown- but Boomtown is now Ghosttown, so there’s not a lot to do up there. My grandparents own an inn up in this little town called Woodfords. It’s in the middle of nowhere. Okay, it’s near Markleeville, you can look it up, and technically it’s in California, but you drive ten minutes and you’re in Nevada again.

      1. Thanks! 🙂 My sister and I are going to film a Lone Ranger spoof while we’re up at the inn. We figured out how to make everything look and sound like a black and white 1950s tv show.

      1. It’s a one hour and twenty minute documnetary where cameramen follow penguins around for a year. If you don’t like narrators making it dramatic, then it’s not for you, but it’s pretty neat, you watch them find mates, hatch eggs, the parents take two month long turns without eating anything to watch the egg and keep it warm, and a heck of a lot of the eggs die because everything has tobe just about perfect for them to survive. But yeah, the narrator kind of made some drama that’s not there out of parts of it. 😀 I’d do that in a documentary about my dog! “She struggles to survive off of kibble and water, just barely alive in the frigid 60 degree weather”

  5. Hey do you email a lot? Because I think it might be more convenient if I told you my email address and we started emailing. I would get all you Replies as soon as you send them, and I can tell you things (for example about my book) and you wouldn’t have to keep deleting them. What do you think about that?

      1. Comics. I only started this because I need to keep myself busy. Well, that and I’ve wanted to do comics for a long time. If I don’t keep myself busy with drawing I mope around for hours. It helps to have books to read, I’ve read everything in the house already.

  6. * Only smash for Wii U, I do have a 2ds. But gosh you need to get a Wii U more than ever now. There’s the better version of smash, there’s gonna be Mario maker, Starfox, Xeno X, Yoshi, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule warriors, Nintendo Land, Windwaker HD, SPLATOON, Lego City Undercover, and the list goes on, and on, and on…

    1. I know, but I have to get the money myself, so that’s pretty impossible at the moment. Lol, when Smash was announced at E3, I decided that no matter what I was getting a 3DS or a WiiU. I did nothing but work for three months, I am not doing that again. ;D I’ll get one when I’m old enough to work at a real job. And drive. And all that.

      1. Well then I guess you might as well wait for an NX then. Are there any other times you get money? And how old are you anyways? I’m getting my permit soon, and then ASAP I’m getting my license and a job.

      2. I’m going to be able to start learning next year. As for making money, I would go into the babysitting business but there’s a couple kids at church who hold a nice big monopoly on that and I don’t know where else to look. But then again, I only think about money once or twice a month, and then I’m like, meh. I spend all my time drawing and reading books from the library so that’s not a big issue for me. Have you read Code Of Silence by Tim Shoemaker? It’s one of the BEST books I’ve ever read, I’m reading the sequel right now. 😀

  7. Yea I have a blue 2ds. I’m gonna get a NX handheld when it comes out if it’s what it’s rumored to be. I personally am about 70% sure it’s true, it just makes sense to make it powerful and with a 540-720p screen because of how cheap it is to do now. Plus if you view the new 3ds as the dsi, it makes perfect sense for the NX handheld to come out next year.

      1. I gave mine to my youngest sister soon after she was born, she had a milk bottle and slobbered all over my DS, and I was like, you can have it! I never had a ds until I got my 2DS.

    1. I don’t like them because I like trading video games and those guys are a complete rip off. There was a guy in town who would give you full price for a used game or a straight across trade… he went out of business, lol.

  9. Wow! You do A LOT of the same things me and my brothers do! We don’t have a worship team in my church. My Sunday school teacher Darrell (really cool dude, we hang out a lot and play smash Wii u, and board games, he also takes us to FBI at our church) leads the singing. We just sing hymns, and have specials and testimonies and stuff. And then our pastor preaches the message. Or he would but he’s on a cruise in the Caribbean right now;) We have a missionary meeting every year too! It’s really cool!

      1. Yeah, at our church it was in the Youth Group, and if you showed up early you could play it. We hosted a Smash Bros. Brawl tourney at 5$ entry per person and gave the proceeds to give homeless people a Thanksgiving dinner. Lol, Nintendo’s gonna sue us now.

  10. Your church starts early, my church starts at 10 for Sunday school, 11 for first service, 12:30-2:00 for lunch (we have a potluck every Sunday) and second service at 3:00, over at about 4.

      1. Volunteerings always good! Does your church do “specials” where people volunteer to get up in the service and sing songs or play instruments? Because I’m working on several and I’ve been told by many that I have a great voice. 🙂 I’ve been to some churches that don’t let you do anything during the service but sit and listen, but my church loves it when people give “Specials” and share testimonies of what God has been doing in our lives. In fact my younger brother (11yrs) just got saved today and gave a testimony! Oh and I don’t know what’s up with me and replying to you while working out but I’m doing that again. I’m so tired!

      2. Well, my mom and dad serve on the worship team, and I run small errands all the time for the both of them, or run the sound booth when my dad is late. Our Church requires that you are a Christian, a member, and know the doctrines of the church before you serve, but I haven’t done that because technically I don’t count as a member of the worship team. Most of the time I take sound levels, run mics back and forth between the stage and the sound booth, I take sound levels from around the church, I make sure we’re recording the sermon, little stuff like that. During the summer we had all the missionaries we support come and speak at the church! It was really neat. People share their testimonies, yes, but that’s usually at baptism or community group. I’m so happy your brother is saved now!!! Tell him I say that’s awesome. 🙂 I have to leave for Youth Group now.

    1. Well, it’s this thing called Bountiful Baskets, and it’s a long explanation, but basically we get lots of food like mangoes and lettuce cheap if we volunteer. I have to go now, thanks for the suggestion, I’ll do that!

I never understood people like that. When I was in school I had 2 best friends, one boy, one girl and it was never weird or anything. Society these days, it’s crazy.

    1. Well, I was thinking of “The Flying Fury” for the super hero, but that’s a good idea, I’ll look through the Bible. I’m trying to come up with a cool name that doesn’t sound too corny. 🙂
